Kin Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of Kin (the "Service"), operated by ThinkingDBx Private Limited (CIN U62011TS2025PTC206211), a company incorporated in India ("we", "us"). Kin uses the same account as the ThinkingLanguage platform, and the ThinkingLanguage Terms of Service also apply. If the two conflict, these Kin Terms govern your use of Kin. By creating an account or using Kin you agree to these Terms.
1. What Kin does
Kin lets you create AI agents ("kin") that carry out tasks on your behalf: querying data sources you connect, reading web pages, working with files, sending notifications and, with your permission, changing data or contacting people. Kin can run tasks on a schedule or when triggered by email, webhooks or changes in your data.
2. You are in control, and responsible
- You decide what each kin can access (data sources, files, apps, channels) and whether actions that change things need your approval. By default they do.
- You are responsible for actions you approve and for actions you allow a kin to take without approval.
- Only connect data sources, accounts and apps you are authorized to use, and only process personal data you have a lawful basis to process.
- Review approval requests carefully. An approval is your instruction to perform that action.
3. AI output may be wrong
Kin uses AI models that can make mistakes, including wrong numbers, wrong queries or misread content. Kin includes safeguards such as checking reported figures against tool results, but these don't guarantee accuracy. Verify important results before relying on them. Kin does not provide legal, financial, medical or other professional advice.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Kin to:
- send spam or unsolicited bulk messages, or impersonate anyone;
- access websites or systems in violation of their terms, or attempt to bypass security, rate limits or access controls (ours or anyone else's);
- make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on people (for example credit, employment or housing) without meaningful human review;
- process data in violation of applicable law, including data protection law;
- create, distribute or store unlawful, infringing or harmful content, or malware.
We may pause a kin, a task or an account that appears to violate these Terms or put others at risk.
5. Third-party services
Tasks send content to the AI model provider that powers the kin (our included model, currently provided by Groq, Inc. (United States), or a provider you connect with your own key). Kin may also visit web pages, use search engines, and call apps, channels and webhooks you configure. Those services are governed by their own terms; we aren't responsible for them.
6. Your data
You own your data and content. You grant us the limited rights needed to run the Service for you, as described in the Privacy Policy. We do not sell your data and we do not use it to train AI models.
7. Plans, limits and billing
Each plan includes limits on kin, tasks and included AI usage (see Pricing). One subscription per organization covers both Kin and the ThinkingLanguage platform. Paid plans are sold by Paddle.com Market Ltd, our Merchant of Record, which handles payment and tax. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Refunds follow our Refund Policy.
8. Availability
Scheduled and triggered tasks run on a best-effort basis. Tasks can be delayed, retried or stopped by limits or outages. Don't rely on Kin as the only safeguard for time-critical or safety-critical processes.
9. Termination, liability and law
You can stop using Kin and delete your account at any time. Termination, disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law (India) are as set out in the ThinkingLanguage Terms of Service.
10. Changes and contact
